Antoniy is an active performer throughout the country both as a soloist and member of the Pacific Guitar Ensemble. He graduated from the SF Conservatory of Music and holds bachelor's, master's, and professional studies diplomas. Besides being an active performer, Antoniy has a passion for teaching the art of classical guitar to children and adults, beginners to advanced. He has given masterclasses at Portland State University, UC Santa Cruz, San Francisco State University and many others. Antoniy is the classical guitar faculty at the top-rated charter Oakland School for the Arts. Antoniy Kakamakov’s lessons focus on proper technique, which will allow the guitarist to play relaxed and with ease, musicality, which is such an essential part of classical guitar music, as well as having a beautiful sound. He is patient but will also challenge his students to progress naturally. Antoniy Kakamakov’s students are award winners from the San Francisco Bay, Walnut Creek Guitar Festivals and the South Bay GuitarFest.
